This study seeks to investigate the willingness of local consumers to purchase from socially responsible companies and whether the types of socially responsible activities that consumers expect companies to engage in correspond with those activities undertaken by companies. The characteristics of socially responsible companies and those of the consumers who are more likely to purchase from socially responsible companies are also examined.
