Cultural intelligence (CQ) refers to a person’s capability to adapt effectively to new cultural contexts. It consists of three components, cognitive, behavioural and motivation (Earley & Ang, 2003). This study examined the role of five sub-facets of motivational CQ in explaining expatriate adjustment and performance.
