Persistent findings from Kahneman, Tversky and other psychologists have shown that action/inaction is a determinant of regret, with actions evoking more regret than inaction. We seek to discover if this holds true in all scenarios and whether closeness to the desired outcome is the moderator of the intensity of regret.
