dc.description.abstractUnmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are increasingly becoming the solution for surveillance in military. UAVs give the personnel immediate bird eye view of the current situation on the ground. Thus, it will allow the personnel to better plan and react. Thus, lowering the risks of personnel on the ground. This surge in popularity is largely due to the increasing capability of manufacturing technology. Making it easier and cheaper to manufacture Mini UAVs. Thus, making Mini UAV the economical and practical choice for militaries. Conventional guided bombs are expensive and have large striking power. Thus, often leading to unwanted collateral damages in the modern unconventional warfare. This triggered the military to search for smaller, lighter, agile, more lethal and more affordable precision-guided munition options. A UAV can serve various purposes depending on its payload. UAVs are commonly used for surveillance and reconnaissance. However, if ordnances are installed, it can be used as a form of precision-guided munition. This ordnance fitted Mini UAV can be deployed from bigger UAVs or planes for added range. Due to the space constraint on UAVs and planes, a flexible winged Mini UAVs would then allow these UAVs or planes to carry more ordnance fitted UAVs. The report follows the design process of developing a deployable Mini UAV. This deployable UAV must be affordable, light and small to meet the needs of the modern militaries’ precision-guided munition. Starting from concepts where ideas are generated. A concept is later selected and rendered in computer 3D modeling. The selected concept is then prototyped and put through various tests to test the concept’s feasibility. From the performance of the prototype in the test, future developments on the concept are then recommended for future reference.en_US
