Abstract
A space designed to improve fitness and active level of people in all ages. Promoting cardiovascular exercise, muscular strength and endurance and flexibility, the range of 3 stations offer the essential practice extracted from Taichi motion. It could be an alternative exercise playground for people to stretch and relax according to their need.
It would act as a bridging tool for people to learn and appreciate the Chinese regimen and the philosophy behind it. It would be a small thematic park that acts as a short introduction for people who are unfamiliar with Taichi.
Besides, its compact space design would be a good choice in using public space in today’s urban lifestyle. This project integrates urban furniture and fitness equipment in one area, providing social, cultural and physical nurturance for the community.
