Glancing over the modern world nowadays, almost everyone locating in different region of the world at least own a smartphone, regardless of the Operating System it is using. With smartphones coming into the picture, communication became a much bigger role compared to the history of how communication devices happened to be in the early days. Additionally, with the evolution of electronics components getting smaller and smaller, they are incorporated into almost all the electronic devices which the human race are using nowadays, which in turn, changes the lifestyles and accessibility of people in the society, leading to higher demand of changing the older technologies to a higher level to make life easier and moving into a “smarter” world concurrently. In this report, we will discuss about using one of the common devices that is used by almost people. This device is the Android based smartphones and this device will be used to be part of the hardware in the project, on the other hand, mostly software development will be taken into account to build up this project. This project is proposed due to some factors that are happening in our daily lives. To current, the aging population inclusive of Singapore, is still rising sharply and with aging populations, this group of aging people will be more venerable to have weaker bodies, which in turn having illnesses like cardiac heart arrest, hypertension or weaker limbs, causing them to be more prone to a fall when the illnesses relapse or trip over some and lose strength in standing up back. With the hectic world nowadays, younger generations are also involved due to less time to exercise, there are too many delicious food around, causing these illnesses to be part of their lives too. Following on, we will be discussing a brief history of how Android Operating System was born, its background and the evolution of the olden Android to the current Android Studio. Next, the key features of the applications are discussed with related diagrams serving as an aid to illustrate readers to a better understanding level, which allows readers to understand on how these features actually aids people who are more prone to falls to get themselves attended in the shortest time possible. Additionally, the concepts in software development of respective functions that runs in the application will be discussed and shared to the readers. Key points for developers to take note will be highlighted out in this report as well. Nevertheless, each project has its own limitations and this project does contain its own limitations as well, this will be discussed in one of the chapters in this report. Future developments of this project are also shared in the last chapter of this report. In my opinion, as the world and MNC companies are exploring in the cloud storage, having real-time data running on a mobile device will eventually become the next big thing in the most of the industries now, especially the healthcare industry.
