Smart phone games in the market today tend to rely on the internet for communication, whether they are single-player or multi-player games. This leads to less social interaction, which includes verbal and non-verbal communication. Shape Shift is a game developed for children, as a platform promote social interaction and cohesion, as well as spatial awareness skills. To assess and review the game, user studies consisting of video recordings and user experience feedback were conducted. The results suggest that the game has achieved its objectives as an educational tool to facilitate teaching children social and cognitive skills.
