      Abstract
      Interests in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles have increased rapidly across the world. With improvements and miniaturization, the applications of drones have risen dramatically, especially in the area of sporting arena. This study aims to look into the application of drones for indoor rock climbing events, to bridge the gaps in the current rock climbing scoring systems. This includes operation, control of drones and programming of drones in the aspect of rock climbing. Technical features of the drones were first designed to allow prolonged video taking of rock climbing competitions and trainings which were later used for impartial judgement of competitions and feedbacks for trainings. Basic algorithm was also designed to allow for autonomous flight and video functions. The drone was then subsequently tested to ensure that it fulfils its objective without compromising the safety requirements. Further recommendations were also made on the project to extend its application in the rock climbing.
