dc.description.abstractIn the report, algonthms used for camera registration for the purpose of soccer video analysis will be presented. Camera registration refers to registering of a target image to align with thc reference Image. In this project. We wish to project the events taking place in the soccer plasing field onto a field model for amities purposes, Camera registration algorithms can be classified into inten-hased and feature-based. While intensity-based algorithms focus on comparing intensity patterns in images through correlation, feature-based algorithms focus on establishing correspondence khseen distinct points in images. This project adopts a feature-based algorithm by looking for distinct points in the soccer playing field These distinct points are then matched to their corresponding target points on the field model to realize the camera registrationen_US
