Construction activities are full of uncertainties but it is also where high risks takers thrive based on their intuition and experience that enables them to take calculated and controlled risks. For a contractor to acquire the skills to make calculated and controlled risks, experience is no doubt a good teacher but the costs are high. Very often mistakes made along the way are costly. Not only they might wipe out the profit gained through the years but also in certain circumstances crumble the whole business.
