A study on construction opportunities in Thailand

The objective of this dissertation is to study the Thailand construction market and the situation of Singapore construction firms venturing into Thailand. The research is based on literature review, a questionnaire survey of BCA-registered Singapore contractors and personal interviews with experienced senior staff in Thailand market. It is found that Singapore contractors are not aware about the importance of marketing as engineers and architects are doing the marketing instead of marketing professionals. Lack of financial resources is the biggest problem for the firms venturing into overseas and they want more assistance from the government.
