Electromagnetic wave is present everywhere in the urban area but it is not comprehensible by the human eyes. Some may be desired, but some were not. A device which have the potential to "see" this radiation would be desired to gain more knowledge of its presence and its behaviour. In this report, the author seeks for a solution to "see" the 2.4GHz WiFi signal. WiFi is a free band from the electromagnetic spectrum which does not require permission or authority to access and it is readily available everywhere in the area where the author stays. The scope is to detect the WiFi network together with the signal strength and display the results in both a pictorial view as well as in data log. In the process of achieving the scope, serial communication between two different programs, namely Matlab (master) and Arduino (slave), was establish for synchronisation and argument passing. 24 ESP8266 Arduino WiFi Module were used in a cascade MUX configuration to send the list of Access Point information in the surrounding to the Arduino. Arduino will filter out the information and pass the desired arguments to Matlab, which will then assigned respective colour based on the Colour Matrix derived by the pair and display the desired output WiFi signal's strength image. Fluctuation of the WiFi signal in the fixed environment was found. The result collected shows mainly random moderate fluctuation, with some recurring patterns. The people who would greatly benefit from this device are from the IT profession and the physicist specialising on electromagnetism. People who might be suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity would also benefit as the device could warn them the potential harm ahead.
