This dissertation covers on the many issues and challenges raised by the Cold Chain i.e. cost and food safety in particular of the frozen / chilled food industry due to its growth in consumption by globalization, consumer driven trends and supply side contributors. It also touches on the industrial standards currently used in the market, regulatory legislations imposed by the government, and the introduction of HACCP concept into the standards for food safety.
