The aim of this research project is to investigate the feasibility of utilising oil-palm fruit solid wastes which are one kind of agricultural by-products, in the development of effective adsorbents for the removal of gaseous pollutants such as sulphur dioxide in the flue gas of coal-fired power stations and nitrogen oxides from vehicle exhaust emissions.
