dc.description.abstractInjection molding is a net shape manufacturing process that has been widely used for producing microdevices at low cost. Many of these mircodevices which are being developed for biomedical application make use of biodegradable polymers. The reason biodegradable polymers are gaining popularity for making such microdevices is due to the inherent difficulty associated with retrieving such small scale devices from tissues which would otherwise remain permanently there if not surgically removed.en_US
