means of interactive entertainment for many people and have been use for simulation and
training for decades. However, owing to its nascent nature, there is a lack of research into
how serious games ought to be designed to meet its goal of training players.
This final year report aims to look at how feedback affect participants performance, as well as
2 individual factors, need for cognition and situational awareness. and An experiment were
conducted were participants participant in a real time strategy game for half a day. The
experiment results shows that feedback group perform better than the non-feedback group,
need for cognition scores are not correlated with games wins and situational awareness score
improves as training increases.
