dc.description.abstractIn anticipation of liberalizing the electricity market in Singapore, domestic household users are no longer required to purchase electricity from Singapore Power alone, but are able to choose from a variety of electricity suppliers. As Singapore becomes an increasingly technology-savvy country, technology inevitability plays an important role in our day-to-day tasks and allowing us to harness information within an instance. Therefore, this report describes the development of an iPad application which serves as a common platform to access the customer energy portal and retrieve information of the specified account. Additionally, the application will also be able to control home appliances through wireless means.en_US
