Performance study of a new multi-carrier CDMA scheme with time-and-frequency-domain spreading.

In this thesis, we proposed a novel scheme called direct sequence multi-carrier CDMA (DS-MC-CDMA) as an enhancement to MC-CDMA in order to improve its performance. The new scheme combines time- and frequency-domain spreading, and makes use of a Rake-like receiver to mitigate the effects of frequency-selective fading without the need for guard interval insertion and frewquency-domain equalization.
