Performance analysis of IP traffic over virtual local area network
Date of Issue2002
School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the performance of an end-to-end connection across multiple virtual local area networks and to formulate a path finding mechanism for setting up inter-VLAN LSP over a MPLS backbone with effective traffic balancing. A hierarchical MPLS architecture is proposed to secure inter-VLAN routing.
