The main objective of this thesis is to design three wideband printed monopole antennas for use in UWB applications. Microstrip patch antennas are chosen because of their low profile, light weight and structural conformity that makes them ideal to be easily co-located with other radio components on a printed circuit board. In addition, their production cost is low due to relatively simple fabrication process.
