Development of a standalone intelligent auto-tuner.

This thesis presents the development of a standalone intelligent PID auto-tuner employing the state-of-the-art technologies for both single- and multi-variable processes, and its application to an HVAC pilot plant. This auto-tuner exploits different process identification methods to suit a wide range of processes including both linear and nonlinear processes.
