The main purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships among Kolb's cognitive styles ( Abstract Conceptualization, AC; Concrete Experiencing, CE; Reflective Observation, RO; and Active Experimentation, AE), formal reasoning ability (FRA) and performance in "A" level chemistry and to explore the effect of gender on the same variables.
