      Abstract
Tremendous efforts have been made to boost the construction industry, and of these the implementation of buildability should contribute greatly to improved performance in the industry. Buildability is defined in this paper as the optimum integration of construction experience into the design stage, to ensure efficient and economical utilisation of resources in the construction process, without sacrificing a project's overall requirements. Many guidelines and principles have been recommended for designers to implement buildability and ultimately achieve buildable design.
