Abstract
This report encapsulates the author’s Final Year Project that was conducted over the
past one year. The project focuses on the main topic of droplet deformation in
constricted microchannel, and its objectives include the inherent fluid properties which
resulted in formation of droplets in the first place, the factors that affect droplet
deformation and finally the differences between Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids
in relation to deformation of the droplets whist traversing through the microchannel.
