ABSTRACT This project is concerned with the design and construction of a flight demonstrator. The purpose of the project is to develop an interactive and visually appreciable device that can educate an individual in flight mechanics of an aircraft. This is inclusive of how an aircraft changes its flight characteristics by altering the positions of its control surfaces and the subsequent reactions of the aircraft in flight. The entire project encompassed the design phase, material selection phase, construction phase and conclusion, all of which would be presented in the stated order. This accompanying report also includes the studying of similar systems, using of pneumatic systems as a viable approach to providing power to move the parts, and study of aircraft motion during flights. The end product is able to simulate roll, pitch and elevation from ground. It also features movable control surfaces such as ailerons, flaps, elevators and rudders and retractable landing gears. All movable parts are powered by pneumatics. The flight demonstrator is currently house in the Fluid Power Lab of School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Hangar (Nanyang Technological University)
