This dissertation first examines the RSCT comprehensively, then analyzes different aspects of Central Asia in the context of RSC, and concludes that the actual conditions in Central Asia attract the U.S. and China to intervene. The two powers also have their own strategic interests in the region that make it difficult for them to develop cooperation in the region. The dissertation in the end concludes with several possible scenarios of US-China rivalry being discussed.
