Extent in which the media influences the self-perception and the body image of women and examine how such a partial picture of reality in media affects women’s lives. A research conducted locally show the impact of media images on Singaporean women that seem to portray society standards of feminine beauty, and if beauty advertisements in Singapore’s print media influence their sense of self-worth and adequacy at all.
