Civil-military relations in Indonesia : toward democratic consolidation?

The rise of reformation in 1998 opened the change of political competition, and the trend of political change in Indonesia is fascinating to observe, especially dealing with the involvement of military in politic. The purpose of this study is to examine the implication of TNI Transformation towards democracy consolidation, and to counter the perception that Indonesian armed forces (TNI) as a threat to the political development in Indonesia.
