This study investigates the literacy practices and perceptions of four Indian families in Singapore. The study focuses on the interplay of parental beliefs and backgrounds, the family’s socio-cultural background, influences from outside educational agencies, and the entry of younger siblings in shaping the family’s literacy practices and perceptions.
