The research set out to surface the existing cultural behavioural norms of a sample of teachers and their implications in a typical Chinese-based government-type Nan Hua Secondary School. The study also confers with the findings of Deal & Peterson (1990) that different subgroups (beginning and experienced teachers) of an organization can possess cultural of their own that are not necessarily consistent with the overall school cultural norms.
