Distributed Object Computing (DOC), which was introduced during the late eighties, is fast becoming a buzzword in the IT world today. This technology is influencing the architecture and design of computer applications today, and with the Internet poised to become its major marketplace, DOC is set to take off as the next "big" thing in computing technology.
