Analysis of gray-level corner detection.
Date of Issue1999

The gray-level corner can be denned as the point of planar curvature extremes in the line of the steepest gray-level slope of the image . The robust and precise recognition of extreme intensity variation of the gray-level corner is important both for visual human perception and for the automatic interpretation of image structure from motion and stereo matching by computers. The more robustly and precisely the corner structure is derived from the image, the more reliably can objects in the 3D-scene be described, recognized and reconstructed.
