Job satisfaction, as a strategic issue in human resource management, has recently emerged as a key thrust for controlling employee turnover rate and maintaining or improving profitability of a typical organization through enhanced employee performance. Job satisfaction of the rank-and-file employees of the hotel industry is of great concern. Drawing on past research, a proposal framework is constructed which links the different facets of job satisfaction of hotel rank-and-file staff to their overall feelings towards their job.
