Islamic banking has grown from a relatively unknown concept in the 70s to a buzzword in the business and finance world today. Forbidden from receiving or paying interest, Islamic banks primarily base their operations on the concept of profit and loss sharing. Argued by many skeptics as being risky and unpractical, the merits detailed in this report aims to quietly dispel such misconceptions.
